Before launching our Slum to City model, we asked ourselves a simple but important question:

If we clean just one part of a slum, how much of that waste can actually be reused? After all, our model depends on a refuse & recycle strategy. So, we didn’t wait for perfection — we took action.

With a small team, we cleaned a portion of the area and carefully sorted the collected waste. Our goal wasn’t just to remove garbage, but to understand its hidden potential. And what we found was powerful: A significant portion of the waste could be reused for composting, farming setups, and sustainable applications.

This small experiment confirmed what we deeply believe: Even in land-scarce, resource-poor areas- sustainability is absolutely possible. And this is just the beginning. We’re now preparing to scale this model and at our upcoming event, we’ll be showing exactly what we’ve created from that waste.
