We’re proud to introduce Slum to City; a strategic, low-cost model to transform underserved slum communities into climate-resilient, food-secure, and dignified urban ecosystems.

After the measurable success of our first initiative, Make Every House Sustainable (which raised sustainability from 17% to 65% in resource-rich communities), we asked an essential question:

What about communities with no land, no rooftop, no space — only need?

That’s why we developed a model tailored for the most overlooked.

Why slums?

Because they face the harshest barriers:

1. Severe land scarcity 

2. Unmanaged waste accumulation 

3. Lack of space, drainage, and food access

Through an initial waste analysis in a sample area, we found that nearly 70% of local waste can be recycled or reused — validating a model that requires no soil, no land, and no expensive infrastructure.

Using low cost hydroponics, vertical farming, and composting, we empower women and youth to lead sustainable food systems;  ensuring long-term, community-driven impact.

This model is: Affordable and adaptable, Technologically accessible, Globally scalable.

From Dhaka to Cape Town, Mumbai to Nairobi, and beyond— wherever land is limited and food insecurity persists, Slum to City is a replicable, climate-smart solution. 🌱
